Decisions, Decisions

Sample wedding rings will be stitched as soon as I decide which fabric to use.

Gradation Option 1:

Gradation Option 2:

Sometimes is helps to take the color out. In this case, not so much.

What do you think, quilty friends? Should I keep shopping?

I like Option 2. At first I thought Option 1 and then when I looked at the grayscale that fabric seems flat compared with the other interesting textures. Either option or more shopping would work. You make beautiful quilts so whatever your quilty muse says is the way to go ... :) Pat

You don't seem so thrilled by either option, so I say more shopping. You have a great sense of color. I can't wait to see what you decide.

I like one, I think the pop of blue would stand out nicely with the purples.

the first one for me, but if you are undecided maybe you need to look at other options.

I like number 2.

I think option 2 because in no. 1 there is one 'dark' blue, which is standing out and breaks the color-flow. (I hope you understand what I mean)

Hi, I agree with Rike, its option 2 because the print on the darker blue fabric links it to the lighter fabrics but still moves it towards the dark making a smoother graduation. But hey as I hear so often - ITS YOUR QUILT, so do what feels best to you. Have fun.

I agree with those who say #2 for the same reasons they posted. Also, I like the symmetry of 3 blues & 5 grays over 4 of each.

I'm an option two fan aswell. That dark blue in option two just seems to jar for some reason. xx

Definitely option 2 for me! Sometimes you just need to stop thinking and start doing (my new mantra is finished is better than perfect).
