Senior Photo Shoot

I've been taking a lot of photos of Julia this summer to create her senior portrait. There were some in Italy that were OK, but the clothes weren't right or the hair or the makeup. So off we went to Beavertail, one of Julia's favorite places. You can see the lighthouse in the background below.

We got quite a few good shots to choose from.

Found some interesting rocks to sit on or lean on.

We had some fun!

Had to scoot down this cliff for the best shots.
(It was a lot easier and less scary coming back up.)

Once I had the shot, I wanted to do a little editing. I'm not sure why it took me so long to join the Picnik party! It's the best thing since Photoshop. Better, even, because it's so easy. I even sprang for the Premium plan so I could do things like spray tans, teeth whitening and highlights.

Too much?

Her first reaction was, "Wow, I look great!" But it looks as fake as it is. We are going with just a little whitening, a little tan and mascara boost.

Just right!

She is totally my daughter. She loves DIY and doesn't mind that we didn't hire a professional photographer. The new camera certainly helps. And she is so photogenic. I love this kid!

First chance to read through blogs this week. Oh my gosh these are great. She is so cute in every picture! The blue shirt is perfect. I love Picnic. I've been using it for a while just for blog things, so I didn't buy the premium. Even with the premium it's still way cheaper than having her teeth bleached and a spray tan! lol. She doesn't even need it, but fun to play around with it though. Thanks for lunch...it was great catching up. See you in a couple weeks.
